Nook Gift Shop is a small, independent retail space in Hockley, Nottingham, showcasing a curated selection of contemporary handcrafted products and art. Run by a collective of five makers, the shop celebrates creativity, craftsmanship, and locally made work, offering a unique and personal shopping experience in the heart of the city.

As well as the store, we also offer in person workshops at ARC Space throughout the month so that you can meet the artists and try out some of the crafts yourself.

It's such a lovley day to grab a coffee in the garden and have a mooch.

We're here and open untill 4pm. Then @laceworksbar will take over the space for those evening tipple!

We all love a sweet treat and a savoury snack and boy does @bettyrosebakes do it well.

COLOUR OF THE DAY...

I let a random colour generator choose today’s shade and it landed on bright magenta, all pinky purple joy 💗

So I had a little wander around Nook and gathered up everything we have in this colour right now and honestly I could have kept going.

There’s something so satisfying about seeing a cosy little collection built around one shade 💕

CALLING ALL MUSHROOM LOVERS...

@emmakimbleystudio will be hosting a workshop here at Nook!

Come and sculpt your own mushroom decorations!
During this workshop you will learn all the necessary skills to create a trio of funky fungi as well as decorating and painting them before they are fired into pieces that last a lifetime.

Taking over a table in @kawfee_ltd Jo will be showing off a selection of thier work, including prints, stickers and adorable keychains.

You don’t even have to spend a penny to support us. By engaging with our content on socials or simply telling your mates about us, it all helps 💕

WE HAVE A CONFESSION...

Gazebos, rain and paper pouches at last weekends market mean we have a handful of slightly water damaged pouches (we're perfectionists) of these incredible bath salts by @ametrineskin

So we've reduced them by 20% here in Nook.
The artist will still receive thier full payment and you get a bargain!

I couldn't resist trying them out. So I thought I'd show you how beautifully they foam up. I know you can't tell through the screen, but they smell INCREDIBLE.

We have the following scents:

Grounding - Frankincense & Cedar
Uplifting - Lemongrass & Rosemary
Balancing - Grapefruit & Bergamot
Calming - Lavender & Clary Sage

We also have a few Matcha & Quasil face masks reduced too.

A GLIMPSE OF NOOK MAGIC...

Looking back at photos from this weekend. without the wind and the general stress of running an event, I can truly appreciate the treasure trove of a stall we created.

Every crevis was bursting with colour and creativity. Creations supplied by ourselves as co-owners and our fantastic stockists!

Yesterday and today lots of this stock has made it to our shelves ready to be shopped!

WHAT A WILD, WET AND WINDY WEEKEND...

Ay-up, it's been an absolute pleasure!
We've had rain, hail, wind and sunshine this weekend but even the weather couldn't put a dampener on what has been an incredible weekend.

@itsinnottingham always puts on a brilliant event and we're so glad to have been part of it considering how new our little shop is. The exposure for us has been brilliant and we hope there will be lots of new faces in the shop over the next few weeks.

NOOK hosts approximately 30 makers and we have been able to pass on the Ay-up magic to them through all your purchases. So a huge thank you to anyone who has come out and shopped with us this weekend.

For now with just 2 hours left, we will be cherishing the last few moments and holding our hot drinks close during this cold spell as we prepare for next week's task of logging sales and paying all our artists!

Today’s a big one at Nook. We’re getting loads of incredible new stock delivered from our makers, all ready to take over Market Square 🙌

We’ll be part of a brilliant festival celebrating local, independent creative businesses. Expect amazing stalls, great vibes, and plenty to discover.

The event is run by It's in Nottingham so head over to their page for the full lineup of live music, activities, and everything happening across the weekend.
